Patricia Baron Monigold

Patricia MonigoldPat Baron Monigold was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She graduated from Alverno College, Milwaukee and did further study in drawing and painting at the University of Illinois and Parkland College. Pat was one of the original owners of Blackhawk Design. The company supplied castings, etchings and major presentation pieces to the University of Illinois and businesses in the Midwest.

Pat is now a full time studio artist and works in oil. The Art Coop, Urbana, hosted her show Brother/Sister Art and Broken Oak Gallery hosted her show High Road to Taos. In February of 2019 the Springer Cultural Center in Champaign hosted her solo show, The Art of Timing. She is co-founder of the Champaign-Urbana Comrades in Art.

She has also exhibited at galleries in Milwaukee and the Chicago suburbs. Her paintings have been juried into many local shows and she has won both merit and purchase awards. Her work has appeared in The Artist’s Magazine, winning the Over 60 Competition in 2014.

 

Recent Achievements

MTD Art, Jason, from the series The Art of Timing, chosen for use on Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit from January 2021 to April 2021. The painting is also featured at the Illinois Terminal Building, Champaign.
